Did The NFL Hall Of Fame Inductee Leak?

On the eve of the 2023 NFL Honors, the NFL Hall Of Fame’s official site may have tipped its hat for the next incoming class.

Among the suspected inductees is Tampa Bay’s own Ronde Barber. Barber has been a finalist for the Hall Of Fame for the third time in his six years of eligibility. Many fellow BUCS fans pounded the table for Barber to make it in as a first-ballot entry. But to no avail.

However, if the profootballhof.com/Teams/tampa-bay-buccaneers site is any indication, Barber will finally get the knock on the door at sometime today and receive his well-earned gold jacket later in the year. The site lists the players inducted into the Hall Of Fame by the team. When scrolling through the list, you can see a placeholder for the longtime BUCS favorite. When looking through the team pages of other finalists, a placeholder is only found for some of them.

Among the others found with placeholders:

Both are Senior Finalists.

JETS Hall Of Fame

Colts Hall Of Fame

Cowboys Hall Of Fame

Could this be a coincidence? Yes.

It could be too good to be true. There’s a large number of fans who think Barber won’t make it due to the star power of this year’s class. But that’s going to be the case every year when talking about a Hall Of Fame induction.

Could this be an oversight by an employee in an attempt to get ahead of the game and get the new inductees up on the site immediately after the official reveal? Absolutely.

We’ll find out tonight during the 2023 NFL Honors ceremony.
